INTRODUCTION

Arohana Educational & Cultural Trust (R) was formed in the Year 2011 with the objective of promoting
Educational & Cultural aspects of rural Karnataka particularly in Mysore District. Somanathapura-an
historical place with Chennakeshava temple, the master piece Hoysala Architecture, which was the guiding
force for establishing an educational Institution with the aim of serving better to the educational &
cultural needs of rural children.

BACKGROUND/THE GENESIS

A team of 15 rural young minds who were already into social service often discussing about the present
scenario of schooling which compel the parents to move out of the villages to cities with the only
objective of providing “Good & Quality Education” for their siblings, which compel them to leave their
farming, business and most importantly the family-the old parents, who are in need of the love and
affection of their kith & kin during their last phase of life. Also, it is found that the rich cultural diversity of
rural Karnataka is declining and losing its importance during last few decades. Thus, Arohana Educational
& Cultural Trust (R) emerge out with the concept to facilitate life supportive real time education and to
nurture the rich and vital rural cultural as part of their school curriculum.

VISION AND MISSION

Arohana Educational & Cultural Trust (R), established a school titled “AROHANA CENTRAL
SCHOOL at Somanathapura, T.Narasipura Taluk, Mysore District.

The main objectives of the school are:

1. to provide education with holistic approach.
2. to improve the quality of teaching and learning experience in rural area.
3. to integrate the rich cultural of our nation in to their curriculum.
4. to promote value based education.
5. to facilitate life supportive real time education.
6. to ensure all-round development of a child.
